I can see from StatCounter that some of you are trying to comment, but those comments are not making it through. I was unable to comment on Blogs while using Internet Explorer; I had to switch to Google Chrome.

ReplyDeleteI spend a lot of time before our burn window driving around to every house or business within a certain radius and notifying them of the burn, and leaving them literature explaining what/why/how, and getting a list of people who are smoke sensitive so we can notify them on the actual day of the burn ... all part of good community relations. We also have very strict constraints on wind speed/directions ~ one of our largest burns is a property that borders on a riding stable, and we have never had one complaint.
